The one benefit to you blogging only once every 3 months is that it fits well with my schedule. About once every 3 months I think "I wonder if Betsy has blogged lately?" And either you just did within the previous week or do within the next week.

Also, I like the hemlock ring blanket. It is pretty. And nice. Much like most 1st graders' moms are.

Also, Pat and I will be in the Rockford the weekend after New Years if you want to maybe do something.

Also, I like starting sentences with "also."

And finally, Festive Festivus, Happy Solstice, and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Where you see partial balls of Red Heart and novelty acrylics, my mom sees chunks just yearning to reach their potential. Again, congrats on the massive cleaning. For yarn organization, you should get one of those things I've seen at places like Target that have a bunch of square cubby type things and baskets that go in them. I've usually seen them in the kid's room stuff, so they're usually bright pretty colors (or pink and lavender for the girls).

Conga-rats on the purging. You know I share your hoarding tendencies, and I have in the past couple of years discovered the joy of regular purges. Yes, every now and then I do throw away something that I later decide I maybe could have used. But nothing terribly important. It did take me well into law school before I finished getting rid of high school things. And I still have all of my political science stuff from college.

The one point where I disagree with you is with your statement that yarn doesn't belong crammed into every nook and cranny. While I can understand that if it means that yarn should be treated with respect, I totally disagree if it means you shouldn't have so much yarn that it runs out of places to live and has to start living in weird places.

So, anyhow, my point is that I'm proud of you for the purge, and also I know you are not mentally imbalanced. Also, a burrito has arrived for me....so that makes my comment end.

That is wickedly cute! Although I'm pretty confident that the color is actually chocolate brown, not navy blue. You must be mistaken. Even if it is navy blue, I think a chocolate brown one would look awesome.

Get out!! That looks great!! Yours looks perfect!! I did a tester on a bed sheet and hubby blew a gasket.. So I went on to the fabric and you see what happened :)

I'm glad you did this! I almost wasn't gonna try for a top, but I think I will.

I love that yarn! It's gorgeous! I have some merino/yak that I dyed pink and Brown - I hope it looks like your yarn when I spin it up.

I like to spin the hell out of my yarn, too. That way it stays twisty through skeining and washing and reskeining and ball winding - plus, it goes skoosh. Love it!

I like your sock pr0n. It is teh goodest. I'm sorry I didn't come to rockford over memorial day. Mike got the flu, so my mom told me not to come (this was bright and early saturday morning just as I was getting on my way). Turned out to be a good idea, since Dad and Mom both ended up getting sick too. But that means I missed out on the imaginary yarn store. And that makes me feel sad. I like imaginary places. But, it also means that the felted bag that I've just started for my mom because I put things off stands a chance of being done by the time I see her next. Anyhow, the point is, I'm sad I missed you and I like your socks. The end.
